Go on a second date and at the end of that see how you feel.

Explain to him how you feel. It will boost his ego to know he makes you feel that way so just be sure to give a good description of your feelings.

By the way, if you haven't kissed him, don't ask to be his boyfriend. It might seem like you need the attachment *too* much.

Most girls will say JUST ASK. If you're an idiot you'll do it. No guy wants to be a boyfriend after the first date. What are you a freak or a stalker? Get over it girl. How old are you anyhow to be asking such a dumb question?

Why ask? Why put that pressure on anyone, including yourself. I'd ask for a 2nd date first. The relationship will build over time. It is not that black and white. Focus on spending time together. The other stuff will come.

Well keep talking to him !
Make a list of things (fun) to do. Try to keep him looking for other active fun stuff.
Hey even just walking the mall and having ice cream.

If you truly want him to be you're boyfriend, you don't. Asking someone to be a boyfriend/girlfriend is borderline psycho and desperate if it's only been one date. Sorry, just being honest.

Actually, don't.

Go out on a few other dates and make sure he's who you think he is.

A few more days or a week or two is not going to kill you. It may show you he's not all that you think he is. Or better yet, he is.

Just wait and continue to go out with him. Me thinks will work out as they should.

Why do you want to rush it. You won't have questions about bf/gf relationship later on. You are asking for a commitment before you know each other.

Ask him. Sooner you ask, the sooner you find out if he wants the same thing.
