Should be ok. Make sure all the brakes are working well, and your engine is in good running order.

Rangers with the 4.0L engines are tough Little trucks,but on the other hand you have to see if you have the towing package(heavy duty suspension).There's also a difference between cargo and towing weight allowance,which should be labeled on the drivers door.

pulling is one thing stopping it is another. i wouldn't pull anything that weighs more then my truck unless the trailer has its own brakes. your engine is pretty old too

depends what motor, a new one can pull around 4500 lbs, careful
