im multi racial and i am able to straighten it with a regular flat iron. but my sister has to go to a salon to get hers done becauset its really thick. if you have really thick hair i suggest you go to a salon for women of color. i wouldnt use a relaxer by yourself though, you might burn your scalp

By using a flat iron. There is no chemicals that will permanatly straighten curly hair. Not even relaxers. You need a good flat iron. Make sure you get one with a temperature setting on it. High heat is bad for the hair, but so is low heat. High heat will dry out and damage hair. Low heat will cause you to keep going over the hair because it's not straightening. I hope you understand. :)

I have a cousin who is bi-racial, and I used to straighten her hair with a blow dryer and a round brush. A simple blow out should do the trick. You really have to moisturize their hair well. Any curly hair is generally dry, because the moisture does not as easily travel down the hair shaft, Kera Kare products, by AVLON are really good. You can also blow dry their hair with a blow dryer and attachment. Follow this up with a ceramic flat iron. matrix Sleek Look works well to prevent frizz and help the hair stay straight. They have an entire line, for this purpose.

Have you tried an old fashioned mangle after the hair has been washed? Take care when you do this. Do not try this at home :)

if you mean permanently...use a mild relaxer like "Just for Me". Yep it's for kids but it's not very strong. Normally Multiracial people doesn't need a strong relaxer. or just blow dry it and hot iron it if you don't want it to be permanent.
