In some states you can get one by doing it yourself and putting an add in a newspaper for him since you don't have an address. The question is, could he by chance have already done it without you knowing? Sometimes the court just wants proof that you tried contacting him and if you put an add in the legal newspaper for awhile it'll satisfy the court.

A friend of mine had the same issue... Her attorney told her that all she had to do was place an ad in her local paper stating that you are looking for "name of person" and then they only had X amount of days until they are declared MIA. When that is the case you are allowed to file without a signature from that person!! Call an attorney, they will give you legal advice. It's not a lost cause. Just get on the ball. If you are really ready than it is completely possible!!

Talk to the court. If you can prove he has been out of the house for 15 yrs you should only need one signature for the necessary paperwork. PLus the court can search for and find the guy after 15 yrs you are commonlaw divorced.

In most states you can divorce someone in absentia, don't think I spelled that right, means he's not there and can't be found. Somebody, I think the court, advertises the suit for divorce in the paper of his last known address. After a short period of time they go ahead with the divorce uncontested.. You are home free... Check with a Clerk of Courts in your locale and they will help...

Get a lawyer - they have ways and means to find people and ways around it if they can't find the person. After being seperated that long, some states will grated a divorce on grounds of disertion without the other spouse needed.

I think it depends on the state that you are filing in. I know someone that filed in Ohio and she was able to run a legal notice in a newspaper to meet the requirement.

if you know of any attorney that has represented him, i would have the documents sent there, and im pretty sure you have to list it in the newspapers, your local paper and a major paper in the region in which he lives.
hope that helps, let me know if you need more
