It seems to me that all belief in God is a matter of personal faith, yet non believers argue from the pOV of the enlightened intellect(which of course no one on this planet is)
Which is worse?

Faith, one can not see with the naked eye. Intelligence, one
can not see with the naked eye.
There is nothing to argue.
God bless us all...

Sorry, but there is such thing as an enlightened intellect. This doesn't mean that one knows EVERYTHING, but it does reflect the idea that some people have more wisdom, experience and knowledge.
Still, no-one has the answers for EVERYONE on the planet. That's not what enlightenment means.
As far as faith in God, there are many people and many faiths. The problem comes in when people of faith begin to argue that everyone needs to follow their particular brand of faith. They seem to believe that theirs is the answer for everyone. Being a matter of faith, all they can offer is a threat of hell, yet still believe there is some logic in their position. That's what I choose to debate.

There is debate because knowledge is not unimportant. I think its a cop out to say that no one on the planet possesses an enlightened intellect and therefore knowledge and faith are mutually exclusive. In the past, blind faith alone has led people to believe utter falsehoods (i.e. universe orbits the earth, etc.) and has also led them to involve themselves in cults and other harmful behaviors. It's only through a marriage of common sense/knowledge and faith that I think you can begin to see the truth.

No, we are not all clueless. If you are trying to say that there is a lot we all don't know, then I agree with you. But if you are trying to use that as an excuse for choosing faith over knowledge, then I strongly disagree. Your argument could be used to justify any commonly held superstition.
No one is completely enlightened. But your approach would leave us all in the dark.

The debate stems from anyone who wants to live life assuming no spiritual consequences. It's not true but many choose knowledge over faith because it's easier.
Faith is stepping out in the unknown, which takes effort.
They also go together because when you have faith you gain knowledge....but alas Faith is not worse.

faith vs knowledge?
pretty interesting. you know i think there's no reason to think that faith could be an antonym of knowledge.
when we know something, when we feel that it's the right thing we just believe in it.
now so many many people do not believe in God, they say that all that we have achieved is the normal consequence of intellectual development but these ounces do omit something very important: faith!
may be we're technologically advanced today but on the moral and spiritual plan we all really need help.
actually this need makes psychologist reach but anyway.
the point is faith is the source of knowledge!!

I beg to differ that "no one on this planet is an enlightened intellect"
Says you? I'm sorry YOU personally are unenlightened.
The power of science is to reveal nature in all its inconvenient truth. Inconvenient if you hold certain dogmatic faith based delusions that is.
I choose to debate...if that is the proper term for the chaos on Y!A...because it is entertaining, it helps me refine my arguments, and I like to hear arguments from others that I haven't thought of or heard before. The world is a cesspit of ignorant backward religious belief, and I am trying to do whatever I can to encourage critical thinking and rational thought among the religious delusionaries.
It is a small step for a man, but mankind needs to make the giant leap out of the Dark Ages.

Too much knowledge is dangerous, and intellect is the road to hell. Faith goes against man's wisdom and intellect and forces us to believe in someone or something that is not physically tangible for us. I think some people have a real problem dealing with this.

What about the act of taking in knowledge that strengthens your faith?

If science is ignored for literal Bible translation, then ignorance ensues. The debate is pointless, you must have faith and reason to be complete.

Faith is far worse.
You can ignore just about anything on faith.
Sometimes when my alarm goes off I have faith that I can sleep for a few more minutes and still be on time for work.
