Age 3 is a good time to begin pre-school, once she is potty-trained. Prepare her beforehand by getting her used to being away from you and by getting her excited about this new place where she will make new friends and learn new things. It helps if there is another child in the same preschool with whom your child is already familiar.

Age three is customary, as long as she is potty-trained, because that's usually a requirement.
Kindergarten begins at 5. But it all depends when the birth date falls for beginning public school. If she doesn't make the cut off date, she may have to wait out a year.

It just depends on the centers in your area... call around to several centers to ask what their requirements are.
