I don't want to scare you, but I got my son's bill for the emergency room visit and it was over $1,000.00. I am lucky enough to have insurance and it cost me $75.00. The rest the insurance company picked up.My son ended up being admitted, with appendicitis. My friend went and it was a minor thing and it cost her $350.00 and she doesn't have insurance. I think you can call to find out from the hospital. You don't have to tell them who you are or that you are you as far as I know. Good luck. Hope it is affordable for you. Nana

The average co-payment is about $25-$100 per emergency room visit. That is, if you have insurance. If you do not have medical insurance, from what I've been told, it could cost about $300-$500.

It depends on which hospital and what part of the country you are in. Next time, try to get to a doctor's office for minor emergencies. However, if you have chest pain or cannot breathe, go to an ER.

About $200. No one walks into any ER with paying a couple of "C" notes. Can't afford to get sick these days.
