It's not so much about looking stupid, its more about getting rejected. And if 'stupid' is what you're worrying about, that's already a given... you can't help that. Try not to make it to public and express yourself in a way you're best at.

be straight forward with this guy. it shouldnt matter how dumb u may look. at least u will find out what is really going on instead of being in the situation that u r in now.

Just tell him, try not to be real aggressive because you dont know how he feels just yet. Do something that says I like you, but keep it innocent, and just ask him how he feels about you.
