Yes I do believe that Jesus fed 5000 with those fish and five loaves of bread. In order to believe you have to have faith. Come on preacher where is your faith? Our whole being is from that man that gave us life and he performed those miracles. You and I came from a higher power and He is still with us till He decides to take us home with him. Wedding are a scared vow .. The devil is speaking to you right now making you doubt your religion. So I am asking you is God testing you through the devil? The devil has lots of power and its God that you have to trust to get through the devil. The ball is in your court. Let the devil have his way or turn bout face and show him you are stronger than he is. I dint know how i wrote this ..as in God uses us as interpreters as in a small voice is inside my head telling me what to tell you. Hope this helps and He said to you that He is with you through all your trials and your doubts. He is a loving ..forgiving God.

No, I do not believe in that 5000 being f ed with five loaves and three fishes, lol. But what is the point of your question? Different people will give you a different answer based entirely on what they personally happen to believe... so where are you?As an ordained Minister, I take it that you are "ordained" according to a particular belief system that you have made yourself a believing member of - which sort of begs the question why would you become ordained into that particular belief system in the first place, if you hold such fundamental doubts about the teachings of that particular following? - if you see what I mean?
I also don't understand why you would become ordained into any kind if ministry, only for the purpose of being able to legally marry people. I thought a person wanted to get ordained into something that he wholly believed in, and not just for some aspect of that ordination that comes with a payment.

Yes, I do. You are an ordained minister?? What was Peter told to do as a minister of God? Feed my sheep. When you become an ordained minister, you don't get to say, yeah, I'm not really sure about this blah blah in the Bible, I just really want to do weddings!!! You are in doubt, friend. You need to start all over.
Read the Bible but this time with understanding. And for the love of God himself, take off the cloth until you know what it is you are supposed to do in God's service. This is the first question I've responded to where I am almost at a loss for words. Get some tools to help you. First, use the King James Bible - also get the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance of the Bible (works best with the King James) then get The Companion Bible. Lots of times folks get confused because what is actually being said in the Word is a Hebrew idiom (or "saying") that was popular in speech at the time. You need to know what these are, and you also need to delve somewhat into the biblical languages - Greek, Hebrew and Chaldee - My God, what if someone comes to you, finding out you are an ordained minister, and needs help or needs an explanation of something in Scripture? What will you do - I hope you don't plan to tell them "gee, i'm not even really so sure that Jesus performed miracles"???? This is serious business -I wouldn't take it lightly. Just in a very general sense, if you read something like "I saw a beast rise out of the sea having ten heads, etc... you know this is symbolic of something, since common sense tells us there are no ten headed beasts that normally pop up out of the sea......
Likewise, if the Word says that Jesus had the people sit down in groups and issued out the food - whether its a couple fishes or a big meal, its common sense that its literal - he told the people to sit down and eat. Use common sense, get some tools, and remember this: If something doesn't sound "right", or if it sounds as if God is being unfair, or its confusing, look deeper, study harder - pray on it - God is not the author of confusion.
It really worries me when you say "I'm at the point where I believe in God........" As an ordained minister, you should have been past that point ages ago, done your homework, know Gods word inside out, upside down, and have the Holy Spirit within you to guide you in teaching it -you sound like a lay-person. No disrespect intended, believe me. Please consider this writing.

I am a Minister, soon to be Ordained in The Church Of God. You seem to be admitting that you do not know anything, just based on what you've Posted here. You can't tell what is real in God's WORD and what isn't ? Your Oration isn't worth the Paper it's written on.

I have indeed seen Miracles. I have seen People Healed of Cancer, Heart Disease, the effects of a Stroke, and Delivered from Depression. I know first hand that my God is an Awesome God, and can do anything !

I believe everything written in The Bible. Without The Bible we have no Subjective evidence for out Belief. If I reject The Bible I reject Jesus Christ, because it Testifies of Him.

I believe that all of these things are (logically) possible, but I do not believe they need to have supernatural explanations. I believe there may be some technology of human consciousness that allows far greater control of the phenomena around us than we commonly express, and that proper education may produce just such abilities. This does not (necessarily) imply a personality at the source of the universe (a God).

What is your relationship with GOD like?
Do you do things together? I have seen at least 3 people healed by prayer and know of many more.
" I have read the whole Bible and blah blah bla?" If this attitude continues please leave the clergy. I will try to help you get another job if you are near Georgia.

Welp, the bible says that the people were eyewitnesses to what happened. It was amazing what they saw and so some wrote it down. Thomas heard about Jesus coming back from the dead and yet he refused to beleive until he saw it for himself. No worries though because Jesus appeared to him. This all seems very impossible, but with God all things ARE POSSIBLE for him who believes. Seek and you will find. watch the Polor Express to get an idea of what I'm talking about.
See also John 20:27...
Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe."
Thomas said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."
Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.

Anyone can be "ordained" Just go online and fill out a simple form... No knowledge, no schooling...nothing. Sounds to me as if you became "ordained" to make a little change. If you don't know what to believe...how can you possibly tell anyone about it. Those who are ordained should know what they believe. They should know what is symbolic and what is real. You perform weddings with vows that are meant to be forever...yet you do not know if those are real or symbolic?

I have seen God heal someone firsthand and Jesus DID feed the 5000, heal people and walk on water. The Bible does not represent those things symbolically like some may believe. Also, if you REALLY believe in God then you should also believe what he says in his word, aka the Bible. You should pray for wisdom to be able to distinguish between what is meant literally and what is meant symbolically in the Bible. Sounds to me like you need to get closer to God though

You really need to read and study the BIBLE with a REAL CHRISTIAN. Becoming a "minister" evidentally didn't mean anything to you. GOD certainly does to me. I read and study my own BIBLE so that I will be able to seek out the TRUTH and TEACH OTHERS!! Christ and HIS apostles did just this and we are also to do so. I hope that you follow my advice. It would be best for you and your everlasting life. Have a great week.
