Sometimes it is just as cheap to go to somewhere like Paris as it is to spend a long weekend in the UK.
But if you are insistant on staying in the UK I would say somewhere like Cornwall or Wales.

Why don't you do a city break...sounds daft but if you go to somewhere like Bath then you get then best of everything. Plenty of clubs and nightlife, fantastic little bistros, shopping, tourism with the Roman baths etc...It's a brilliant place for a weekend and at this time of year you should be able to get some good deals on accommodation.

If that's doesn't take your fancy then why not go and stay in the Cotswold's...great for walking and visiting. If you stay somewhere like Stow-in-the wold then you might be able to find a good deal at The Royalist (the oldest pub in England http://www.theroyalisthotel.com/). You will need transport though if you want to get the best from your visit.

Good luck

Aww this is effective. the united kingdom is unquestionably an somewhat beautiful place and u can discover some somewhat effective gemstones in step with the place ur looking. most of the smaller cities are somewhat effective, like Bristol, i think of this is an somewhat effective place, think of it wud be appropriate for a pair. If ur searching for something greater to do u cud attempt Startford-upon-Avon or someplace like that. As for the motels with the massive type motels u kno what ur getting yet i think of the smaller B+B's each and every each and every now and then do an somewhat effective interest, or maybe small motels.

If you have never been I recommend the Lake District..ok before anyone says it for the oldies then you must have not been before. There are some lovely places there and so very romantic just you and your man and all that open space...and in the evening get that log fire lite and enjoy the evening :)

hi,

depends what you are looking for, if it is a exciting weekend with some beer and fun then dare i say the old faithful blackpool,

but if you want scenery and relaxation go up to scotland up the west coast, start at loch lomond and go up to fort william, oban, inverness, you actually drive through the mountains on the way to fort william.

hope this helps

Swansea Wales. It has a bit of the country and the city and it also has a great seaside. Something for everyone.

Might be easier for us to give you meaningful suggestions if you tell us where you are. As students, I imagine you don't want to spend big money on travel.
