WRONGO BONGO to the first answerer! The deepest part of any ocean is the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. 35,798 feet deep.

The Marianas Trench in the Northersection of the Pacific Ocean ... the Challegner Deep (7 miles or 11 km below the surface) was named after the British Survey Vessel Challenger II back in 1951. The U.S. navy sent a research submersible (Trieste) to the area to measure the depth in 1960.
