Which philosophy are you following here? Evolution says that the egg came first, because the first chicken, even though born to pre-chicken parents, would have emerged from a pre-chicken egg, which is still an egg. God created the animals, not the eggs, so if you go with God it's the chicken.
So, decide whether you believe in God or evolution, and then you'll have the answer to this question.

if God layed an egg- it would have to be incubated AND fertilized.
also, most people say God is male and if God layed the egg- he would have to be female, so... the chicken came first.
