Hey! Guess what SWVader....I didn't have to get a $60 Terk Digital Antenna.....

You wanna know why?

Because your OLD UHF LOOP ANTENNA Works on EXACTLY THE SAME FREQUENCIES AS THE DIGITAL ANTENNA DOES!!!

And what is digital signal?? Nothing more than on's and off's!!
Sure don't need to sharpen those signals!!

There are a couple sub 1k priced projectors that are pretty good. Don't forget you will need a good projector screen and needs to be figured into the budget. The screen has a huge effect on the overall quality of picture so don't underestimate the importance of the screen. The only sub 1k projector I would recommend is the Optoma hd20, its a true 1080p projector with reasonable light output. You will need to have complete control of the lighting in the room again to get the best image. The first thing you will want to decide on is the size and aspect ratio of the screen. The size should be determined by the sitting distances, and the aspect ratio should be determined by the material you will be displaying. 2;35 to 1 is the hottest aspect ratio screens you will see in the hi-end home theaters, but you need to have a projector that can adjust for the different aspect ratio screens. in the sub 1k projectors you looking at using 16:9 aspect ratio screens. A good source is Projector central on choosing screen sizes and good reviews on projectors. Kevin 40 years hi-end audio video specialist

Depending on your distance from the local broadcast towers you may need an exterior UHF antennae. I have included links to a website that will assist you in determining which antennae type you’ll need and another website with a photo of the most common exterior HDTV / UHF antennae.
