I think you mean licesne plate and not driver's license. Normally you won't lose you're driver's license for non-moving offenses - such as parking violations (although you can be arrested and brought before a judge), but they can sure revoke a license plate and tow or impond a car (or even a big rig) regardless of who the driver is - because the OWNER has certain responsibilities they agree to when they apply for a vehicle registration - and that includes multiple use vehicles such as commercial trucks, busses, taxis, ect. Great question!

It is a rather new law but what they are doing is the city or county issueing the ticket, contacts the state (who issues your drivers license), and they work toghter to get people to pay parking ticket. Most people do not pay parking tickets, since they only carry a fine in some states, so the came up with this plan, which sucks for me, becuase I am a parking ticket nightmare. Oh and your second question, they call the company the truck is regristerd to and find out who had the truck and when.

You might have different laws where you live, but where I live they suspend the REGISTRATION of the vehicle (license plates) , not the drivers license of the registered owner.
Either way....get it taken care of! It sounds like you need your drivers license to make a living (which I doubt they'll suspend),and I don't think your company (whose vehicle registration they WILL suspend!) will be happy if they get a ticket in the mail!
Pay the fine before your company/boss/vehicle owner gets their final notice in the mail!
By the way....if,for some reason, the parking ticket doesn't get paid and they suspend the vehicle's tags (meaning THAT vehicle's privelege to ride the roads..) and YOU (or ANYBODY driving THAT vehicle) get pulled over driving THAT vehicle....then the driver of that vehicle gets a ticket for driving an unregistered vehicle.More trouble.....
Just pay the ticket. It'll be less trouble for everyone concerned.

They won't suspend your driver's license, they'll suspend the license plates on the vehicle. I would immediately give the parking ticket to my employer and explain to them the circumstances of the violation. There could be more hell to pay if you don't tell them and they find out. Honesty is always the best policy when it comes to your job, and it's only a parking ticket, it's not that big of a deal.

The police will contact the company and fine the company for the parking ticket. The company will want to know who was driving that truck at that time. If they keep records, they'll find out and you could lose your job too.

There are probably a string of unpaid parking tickets on the vehicle itself. So, when it printed up the ticket, it shows that the owner of the vehicle is close to being in violation due to unpaid tickets.
