The purchase for the product was made in Texas but was sent to a creditor outside of texas. My coworker says that texas is not a debtor state so all they can do is put it on my Credit. Is that correct?

I dont know about the variations between states, but I know usually they can sue you and win garnishment of your wages.

What are you doing ordering things you can't pay for?

I do not know about specific laws in the State of Texas.
However, a creditor can sue and get a judgement...your wages would be garnished, etc. If Texas does not allow this, watch out for the influx of immigrants...and they won't all be from Mexico. A lot of people would be moving there to be sheltered from their debt.

They can sue you anywhere. IF Texas is not a debtor state (whatever that is), the options for collecting may be limited.
