why are you so mad. Most of these people who do make babies are taking care of them. Most people know if you have sex a baby can be a possibility but most people dont care because they think there is an easy way out. It doesnt matter if you are married or not. If you are going to make a baby your going to make a baby.

Why is there an assumption that any baby who is conceived while unmarried was unplanned or unwanted?

I am not married and yet I have two beautiful sons, both of whom were planned and very much wanted.

My "husband", "boyfriend", "significant other", whatever you want to call him, and I, are not religious in the conventional sense and neither of us feel that marriage is needed in order to make a committment to one another and our family.
We both agree that our decision to have children together is the most important form of committment we could ever make and see it as a lifelong journey that is to be taken seriously and worked on everyday.
Marriage is not viewed in the same light as it used to be and is taken far too lightly in todays society. It doesn't hold the same signifigance or meaning to many people. The divorce rate is a firm testament to this.
Before you judge all people who choose to have children "outside of wedlock", think about all the married people vs all the unmarried people who become "single" parents. There is just as much risk to both groups.
And just as much love and happiness.

I am but one of many unmarried families out there who are very loving, happy and committed.

Maybe you should learn to spell and write, you make no sense. You say "women" so I will assume you do not mean teen pregnancies. Women today do not need to be married to have children. Some have never found the right man, or are tired of waiting for him. Most women have strong networks of male and female friends to help raise a child.

Remember it take a village not only a married person who cannot spell or write.

Huh???
What happened in 2006 that was any different to any other year passed.????
Please, give us guys a chance. Often we are not told that a baby is on the way, as the girl wanted casual sex and does not want the father around. Or forgot his name, or what he looked like.

Well I think you need a lesson in spelling but I think its their business and they know that sex leads to babies. So whatever their choice then they will face the outcome of it.

And not all men turn away from the responsibility of their children.

I am old fashioned..
and agree that it should be marriage first then babies
I also agree..
that getting pregnant to manipulate a guy into marriage is WRONG
BUT birth control is a 2 way street and guys have got to take more responsibility

Yeah. Not sure where the bitterness is coming from, but it's definitely your issue. I know several men who have more than stepped up to the plate after being mislead about birth control. People make their choices and they live with them. End of story. That people need to be more loving, compassionate and responsible is a no brainer. Like saying we should all quit smoking. No duh.
