It is metabolized by the cytochrome P450 system of the liver. You can block the action of methadone with an opiate antagonists, but the drug will still be in your system.

There is nothing you can do.

You just asked what it is now you want to get it out of your system as fast as possible? It takes time and depends on how much you've been taking and how long you have been taking it. Methadone is usually given to heroin addicts and means you could have been on it a long time. You REALLY need to talk to the doctor who has been prescribing this to you and work out a schedule to titrate your dose (lessen it). It's not going to be pleasant to go through the withdrawal if you have been on it a long time and suddenly quit. If you have been using it just to get high and only a few times...then just getting it "out" of your system is going to take at least 72 hours. There are no over-the-counter products to "flush" it out faster. Drink plenty of fluids and wait 3-5 days. If you have a drug test coming sooner than that.....then you are going to get caught.
