There are basically three phases in SB Diet. You eat normal portion sizes In Phase 1, but all carbohydrate are restricted. This is the strictest phase in the diet and will last for two weeks. It emphasizes lean meats, such as chicken, turkey, fish, and shellfish. Low-Glycemic-index vegetables are allowed as well as low-fat cheese, nuts, eggs. Dieters should expect to lose somewhere between 8 to 12 pounds. In Phase 2, some of the banned food are slowly introduced while weight loss continue to around 1-2 pounds per week. You should remain on it until you lost your desired amount of weight. Phase 3 is for maintenance and should be followed for life. Is all about maintaining your desired weight with a healthy balanced diet. Should your weight begin to climb, simply return to Phase 1.

I'll answer this question like I did the last person who asked a similar question: exercise 20-30 minutes a day for 3-4 days a week and eat a healthy, balanced meal with controlled portions. Expect to lose 1-3 pounds a week, as well as the occasional possible plateau (no weight changes for a couple weeks or more). Most people may lose 3-4 pounds the first week, then lose 1-3 the rest of the time. If you are a woman who has started her period, the bloating caused by your period will cause you to gain a few pounds. But nothing to get discouraged about. Hopefully all works out for you =)

Atkins. Aerobic and weight training together. No sugar of any kind, but first you have to find out about all of the hidden sources of sugar. Fiber is good and about 2 tbsp. of apple cider vinegar daily will help. Buy the Atkins or South Beach book it will change the way you look at the world of dieting. You can find these books on amazon.com really cheap or just research on the web for low carb stuff. Stay under 20 grams daily at first and only count the carbs that you get after subtracting your fiber from your total carbs these are your net effective carbs. It is worth a try it seems to work when nothing else does.

It is a matter of mathmatics. You must burn more calories than you ingest. There are more calories in Fat than there are in protiens and carbs, almost 2-1 so limit your fat intake. There are about a million books at your local library on dieting, so be careful what you choose. Determining how many calories you need wil depend on your height and gender and activity level. If you have a lot of weight to loose you should consult your physician for the best approach and a good medically sound guideline on weight loss. Good Luck!
ps: you will need to excersise also so be prepared to at the very least start walking

think ahead to how youll eat and exercise on the weekends its easy to get too relaxed on saturdays and sundays but healthy living is a 7 day a week endeavor
