We put her in a box that has towels in it for cushion. She stands up and acts like she wants to get out, but we are making her stay in. She is now panting hard and is shaking. She keeps licking (cleaning) herself too.

it's been almost 24 hours since she expelled the liquid. And no kittens yet. But she's not bleeding or in pain, she's just relaxing in her box. What's up?

Wow, here they come! Congrats! If this is her first lot of kittens just watch her because sometimes the first one coming out can be too big and she may need some help.If you think that one is not breathing give them a gentle rub and sometimes that gets them going. Make sure that once you think they are all born that they can find their way to the teat. Good luck!!!!!!

i have had so many cats go into labour that i could write a novel about it but if the baby get stuck make sure have rubber gloves to help it get out your cat will kinda scrunch up to push it up and when she scrunched and the babay dosnt move the next time she scrunshes pull the baby a little bit and not to fast, also have a kit just incase something goes wrong like the mother dies during birth or the mother will not take one or all of her kittens have a kit with kitten milk substitute and blankets and kat bottle and even if you are not sure if you need it get it anyway just incase also if you arent sure take your cat to the vet she can help you more than anyone so if you have more questions call them and ask

My cat would stand up and walk in circles when she was about to drop a kitten. Just be sure it is quiet and warm - If there is a curtain in the room, pull it closed. Just rub her head and talk softly to her. Good Luck 'Grandma'. As mentioned above, be there for the first one or two - my cat passed out and I had to break the bag and rub the kittens tummy to get her breathing. In a few seconds, mom woke up and took over.

Yes, she is trying to have the babies now. You should stay quiet and leave her alone for a while now. She can do it by herself, and might be frieghted if you stay too close by.

yup she is getting ready and the reason shes trying to get out is because she wants to be comfortible, best place her in a room that is not loud and not cold.....were she can be alone for a bit.
this is normal.

Call your vet if you have any questions and leave her be. If she doesn't want to have the kittens there it could cause her stress. just make sure you know where she moves if she does.

Again...CALL YOUR VET WITH ANY QUESTIONS.

If this is her first litter, then she's scared. She needs quiet and darkness and reassurance by stroking from you. kitties are coming soon.
