Oklahoma City and Tulsa are great airports. They are nice and small. Not a whole lot to worry about. Not a whole lot of traffic in our out so flight delays are usually rare and time on the taxiway is usually short. The staff in OKC and Tulsa are very friendly and courteous...now if the folks up her in Boston would take a lesson or two from them.... Usually if you fly into Oklahoma its hard to find a direct flight, usually you come in via DFW, Dallas Love, STL, Denver or Phoenix depending on which airline you fly.
Just be sure and show up 2 hrs in advance, and folllow the advice of the folks above.

Not a lot! LOL You cannot bring any kind of drink, jell, sprays or anything. Certainly, no knives, box cutters, or anything sharp.... including a nail file.
When I flew this summer, I took a full change of clothing, needed medications, my laptop (since I can't live without it!), and a book to read, as well as my "papers".... meaning passport, ID's, etc. These are things you should always keep with you and not check it. The change of clothing is a good thing, since I've had luggage lost.... and until they find it, having at least one change of clothing is helpful. I didn't that time and learned my lesson!
Travel Clothing: Wearing clothing without any metal buttons or snaps is recommended. Watch for eyelets in shoes. I am disabled, so I didn't want to remove my shoes. Since they had no metal in them, they just waved a wand around my feet and it was okay. Also, I carried a metal cane... but could walk through the scanner thing without it, so it worked fine. The detectors do not detect titanium apparently, since the metal plate in my neck didn't set things off. :o)
Oh! That reminds me. If you do have any metal inside your body, get a letter from your physician stating so, in case it does set off the scanners. If not, they might strip search you. Better safe than sorry!
Here's wishing you a good flight!

Be at the airport ahead of time, travel light and take a good book with you. You'll be ok.

Get to the airport early.
Liquids, gels and aerosols as carry-ons must be in 3-ounce containers or smaller and placed in a 1-quart, clear, plastic, zip-top bag. One bag per passenger placed in a plastic bin for screening. Larger quantities must be placed in checked luggage.
Do not wrap gifts. Security officers may have to search contents of packages.
Do not pack fragile or valuable items in checked baggage. Ship or take them with you in carry-on baggage (no liquids).
Do not over-pack bags. Closing overstuffed bags can be difficult and may result in that checked bag being delayed.
Put undeveloped film in carry-on baggage. Screening equipment may damage film.
You are required to remove footwear for X-ray screening.
Double check the contents of your pockets, bags and carry-on luggage to ensure no prohibited items were inadvertently packed.
BEFORE YOU GO . . .
LocalLinks
- Declutter your carry-on bag. It makes it easier for security officers to get a clear X-ray image.
- Limit gels and liquids. With a few exceptions -- such as some medications and baby formula -- gels and liquids will not be allowed through the security checkpoint unless they are in containers 3 ounces or smaller and in a one-quart zip-top bag. One bag per passenger.
- Place unexposed film in carry-on -- not checked -- bags to protect it from strong screening machines.
- Skip wrapping gifts. If security officers need to inspect an item, they will unwrap it.
ON YOUR WAY . . .
- Give yourself plenty of time. Airports recommend arriving at least 2 hours ahead for domestic flights and 3 hours for international. When in doubt, check with your airline.
AT THE AIRPORT . . .
- Keep your ID handy.
- If you're traveling with young children, tell them before the security line what to expect. Let them know their backpacks and dolls will be X-rayed, but they'll get them back.
- Prepare to take off your shoes for screening. Winter coats, blazers, suit jackets and bulky sweaters also must be removed and put in the bin for screening.
- Skip the humor while going through security. Belligerent behavior, inappropriate jokes and threats will result in delays and possibly missed flights.
