Looking for excellent sound quality, that would be most important. I don't need a lot of bass, since I don't listen to a ton of rap or hip-hop. The volume doesn't need to go up that high, since I live in an apartment. And it doesn't need to be portable, I almost prefer that it isn't. I'm leaning toward the Bose, but wanted to know if anyone had other suggestions. Thanks in Advance!

I just got Hi-Fi for Christmas. I really like it. Before I had iHome, but this is so much better. The bass could be a little more for my taste, but if you say you don't need a lot of it, i think it should be fine. Also the volume is perfect for a small apartment (it would be too quiet for a huge party though). So my vote goes to Hi-Fi system :)

get a actual radio set... bypass purchase separate instruments.. an amplifier, and some large floorstanding audio equipment. you may't be it... small audio equipment don't have the actual dynamics to make music sound good, sounds shitty, in case you extremely care about music, you'll purchase separate equipment, probably fee u a lot less too.
