Lisa - But when think about all the reasons why people either believe in God or not this can be part of the debate. Anybody can just say I don't believe in God or do. It could be said that you don't believe in God because you don't trust him. As opposed to the other way around.

It's smarter not to "trust" fictional characters. They can't do anything for you; they're fictional.

I don't think that either course is "smarter", because that would imply that one is superior to the other. I don't trust God, because I do not believe that God exists, and the Bible, while it makes for interesting reading, is not what I would consider a good source. Outdated, inaccurate, incomplete.

Definitely patiently wait for understanding, whenever you are baffled. There is no rush. christ is like an anchor for the souls during that time, supporting you beyond the strife of words, because the gospel and the whole of existence is not based on words of mans wisdom but something above and beyond them.

It's smarter to open your mind and do a little research and soul searching on your own. It's less smart to just believe everything written in a book.
Edit : I'm not wrong. You're naive if you don't question things and just blindly accept that what they've written is true because they say it is.
