My guess would be no. Those dogs need a lot of specialized training, are generally males, and in this area are "retirement age" at age 5 or so. Probably better to just find a good family to take her as a pet.

Talk to the canine division of the NYPD. If they don't accept your dog, a nice German Shepherd will be able to find a good home easily. I would love to have the dog myself, but I live in New Orleans.

probably not...unless she is less than a year old I doubt the police or military would want her. There a several things you could do. Locate a GS rescue group, who would take care of her until a proper new owner came along. Or place an ad and try to find a good home for it yourself.

I almost think you're better off letting the pros find it a new home....they do screenings and make sure the new owner is qualified, and have lots of people coming already looking for that specific breed...many of them who have owned shepherds before and are aware of their qualties and how much work they are.
Good luck...I have a beautiful GS myself that i would hate to lose.

It won't take place a minimum of no longer in case you opt on your dogs to be a working police dogs. Police canines are bred by specific breeders, generally in Germany or the Czeck republic and taken to the US for regulation enforcement. till the dogs is two or below is already experienced at a Schitzhund point 3 it can't take place. NYPD is a typical place and consistent with risk they have another use for a dogs, even regardless of the indisputable fact that it wont be a working ok-9. effective of you to think of that way, regardless of the indisputable fact that. stable success.
