well, i don;t know the procedure. But if you want to pray, you can pray this way. Take bath in morning and evening, light the lamp and say vishnu sahasranamam twice a day. IF you want to do fasting you can. Coz i belive that vishnu sahasranamam is very powerfull sloga. I even can feel the power of it. Unless you belive in it, you cannot happen to see it. Or you can ask a priest near by temple, or you can call near by temple and ask about it.

God never told to fast.Fasting pooja goes waste, you know y? the actual meaning of UPAVASAM, staying in neighbourhood and eating their food ,not of your choice (like be roman while in rome) hope u got me,.worshipping god with empty stomach is also a bad symptom , as the waste will be reverted back tht is the tthrown out garbage of the food. did u catch my point. So dont do fasting in your life , rather u feed the poor people or the animals like cow the most sacred animal.
