Not a lot! LOL You cannot bring any kind of drink, jell, sprays or anything. Certainly, no knives, box cutters, or anything sharp.... including a nail file.

When I flew this summer, I took a full change of clothing, needed medications, my laptop (since I can't live without it!), and a book to read, as well as my "papers".... meaning passport, ID's, etc. These are things you should always keep with you and not check it. The change of clothing is a good thing, since I've had luggage lost.... and until they find it, having at least one change of clothing is helpful. I didn't that time and learned my lesson!

Travel Clothing: Wearing clothing without any metal buttons or snaps is recommended. Watch for eyelets in shoes. I am disabled, so I didn't want to remove my shoes. Since they had no metal in them, they just waved a wand around my feet and it was okay. Also, I carried a metal cane... but could walk through the scanner thing without it, so it worked fine. The detectors do not detect titanium apparently, since the metal plate in my neck didn't set things off. :o)

Oh! That reminds me. If you do have any metal inside your body, get a letter from your physician stating so, in case it does set off the scanners. If not, they might strip search you. Better safe than sorry!

Here's wishing you a good flight!

I do not know what country you will be flying from or what air carrier you will be flying with. You should phone the carrier you are going to use and get a list from them.
I understand different carriers and countries have different rules.
This way you will be sure not to make a mistake.

I would suggest that you visi the TSA website http://www.tsa.gov/ they have the complete list of what you can and can not bring on the aircraft with you in both your carry on and checked luggage.

Hope this helps!

Check your airline, different airlines have different rules, check tsa.gov, and faa.gov.
