NO!! Mine was $1500 male with breeding rights and my sister got a female $2500 with full breeding rights. Havanese.org says you should expect to pay 1,800 to 2,000 for a good havanese.

I don't know about the price, but there is no way of the breeder knowing the coat until the puppies are born.

Depends on whether the female is approved for breeding...meaning, if right now as a puppy she displays favorable traits, then the cost is about right.

They are expensive doggies.

You could pay 100 dollars to adopt a dog and donate the rest to the shelter. The dog would be just as fabulous, you'd be saving a life, and you'd be furthering a great cause . . . all for the same price.

When we got our newfoundland it costed us 1,200. but it was worth it. It really depends on how much you want this dog. Me myself say that it would be fine as long as you know what you are getting yourself into and you have read up on em.

personally I would shop around because this sounds outrageous! I know that purebreds are expensive but I just laugh when I see a dog over $500 for just a pet.... Maybe if you were really serious in showing and breeding that price might be more understanding
