No he shouldn't be doing that.
He sounds like he is still fishing for some attention from others.

Well...
There are many way's to answering the question. On the good note it all depends if he compliments you that way first?
Does he treat you with respect?
Does he say sweet nothing's to you?
Are you two in at a confident level in your relationship?
If you can answer yes to a some of those questions then I don't see anything wrong with the "lil comment's"....
Nevertheless, if he doesn't show that you are his special person. And has had ways to make you doubt where you stand with him........ then maybe the lil comment's aren't a good thing.
It all measure's out when you know where you stand with a person.

Give him some of his own medicine do same to guy's on my space a coupe of times, if he reacts poorly tell he should consider your feeling's before he does it again....
If he couldn't care less ask yourself is this guy really into me?

talking to some one like that and acxting on it.
talk is cheap.
he might do it to get a reaction from you.
i woukldnt sweat it...but i would keep my eyes open
