Gather all materials beforehand -- see "Things You'll Need" below. You might want to store them in a waterproof resealable bag, such as Ziploc. I'd recommend wearing either old clothes or a bathrobe over whatever you are wearing. There is a definite possibility this is going to spill. After you have found everything on you checklist, head to a large, flat, waterproof surface. This is probably your bathroom. Having this room be private is highly advised; you can't just say, "Get out, I'm flattening a pimple," can you?

Things You'll Need
- 3 or more cotton balls
- Lukewarm tap water
- Cup to hold the water in
- Salt

The Method
1. Salt the water thoroughly -- much more than you think it needs.
2. Dip one cotton ball in the salt water.
3. Wait for 30 - 60 seconds.
4. Squeeze out excess water out until it is damp, but not dripping.
5. Place the damp cotton ball over your large, oh-my-goodness-I-cannot-go-to-... zit. If you have several of these grouped together, try to place the cotton ball over them all.
6. Glance at your watch/clock. Wait exactly three minutes.
7. Remove the cotton ball after the time is up. The zit seems to be nearly gone, but it is only the top that has dissolved. Your acne is still there.
8. Take the other two cotton balls and place them on either side of the despised pimple.
9. Slowly, move them closer together until the tiny bump is flattened. Congrats! You've just conquered that giant of a pimple -- forever!
10. Apply honey on the infected area & go to sleep!!

Tips
*Don't forget the last 3 steps -- they are crucial.
*Be sure to follow these steps closely. Dipping a cottonball in fresh water as opposed to salt will not work, for instants.
* You might want to bring a book -- either waterproof or one that you do not care about being splattered in water. Those three minutes can get boring.
* This is your best bet for monster zits that simply sneak up on you. For long-term healthy skin, cleansing and toning is also important.

Warnings
* Please, PLEASE, do not assume this is permission to "pop" pimples. Doing so can cause major scarring. Please don't pop them.
* If you stop after the top is dissolved, I must warn you: it WILL come back! Maybe not in the next five minutes, but during the course of an hour, it will come back!

If you feel new pimples erupting, ice it! Hold an ice cube over the area for about 5-10 minutes. It REALLY works!!!

If you have too many pimples/whiteheads/blackheads/... I recommend you to try Carley's Clear & Smooth!! It's CHEAPER & BETTER than Proactive!! People are raving about this product!! Read their feedbacks/reviews!!

GOOD LUCK!!

I used to be the same way as you are. Nothing ever seemed to work for me and I got really frustrated and tried alot of different stuff, which is probably the worst thing I could have done. Actually whatever you do dont pick at them. That just makes them spread even more..you have to resist the urge! Next, I used to once a week exfoliate my face with St. Ives Apricot scrub and then I would steam my face, and this helped clear my pores and then i would use cooler water to close the pores again. Just making sure that your face is really clean will help. Also, be sure to stick with one kind of facial cleanser and not switch around alot.

Another thing that I found that helps with acne, and this is going to sound crazy, but I used to just dab a little bit of toothpaste on the pimple and let it set on there for about 20-30 minutes and then i would go wash my face. After a few days of doing that I could tell a difference in the way my face looked.

I hope this helps you out!

it all has to do with hormones and is typical for a person your age. you dont want to use anything too harsh on your skin like scrubs or astringents. i would suggest using a facial wash with a 2-3% salycilic acid solution or benzoyl peroxide solution. only wash your face a maximum of twice a day and try to avoid popping pimples also as it can cause them to spread and cause scarring. aveeno clear complexion foaming cleanser has salycilic acid in it and works quite well. nuetrogena also has great products. if your breakouts are really bad or wont clear after a while using either solutions then i would suggest seeing a doctor. there are several INEXPENSIVE ways to clear acne that require a prescription, especially if you have insurance. also birth control pills are a GREAT way to control acne if you are a female especially around this age and that along with a good cleanser may be all you need to clear up your skin!! having to deal with acne at any age sucks and can be a major downer but you definately want to find a way to get it under control asap even if it requires a little more $$. i would def talk with your parents if it is very bothersome to you.

every morning RITE when u wake up and every night RIGHT b4 u go to bed ...put some rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and scrub your wole face with it....just be careful around youre eyes. If u play a sport, use alcohol RIGHT after you get home from your sport too. Stidex and all those pimple medications dont really work at all. Just pure 100% rubbing alcohol will do the trick ;)

Change your diet. A lot of people wonder why they get acne and other ailments of the skin. Almost all skin ailments are caused by crappy diets. Eat more vegetables-steamed and raw in salads. Eat more fresh fruits and drink organic fruit juices. Drink about 6 to 8 bottles of fresh water every day. Exercise by walking at least 2 miles every day. Cut out as much red meat and junk food as you possibly can. Either you or some one in your family buy a large Aloe Vera plant with leaves at least two inches wide at the base. Wash your face every night and again every morning with a good all-natural herbal soap. Rinse by cupping the water in your hands like the TV commercials and pat your face dry(rubbing will cause the acne to scar). At night cut a piece of aloe vera plant off at least two inches square and then carefully cut the spines off the sides. Take the gel and smear it all over your face and let dry overnight. Do this for about two weeks with the diet change and you will be amazed at how clear and clean your face and all of your skin has become. Hospitals nation-wide an in lots of other countries use aloe vera fresh from the plants for treatment to burn patients as it alleviates pain and over time scarring disappears.

mash 2 strawberries and apply to a clean face. Wait ten minutes and wash off. Most(if not all) of your pimples should be gone.
an egg white mask (for 15-20 minutes) should help.

ask your doctor for a referell to a dermatologist, I feel your pain, I have been through that also. Over the counter products simply dont work. I also tried Proactiv and that made my skin worse when I stopped using it
