Because your wife is already pregnant you're really in a bind. The absolute best thing you can do is provide health insurance through an employer. If you get a job that offers health insurance then the insurance company will not deny her coverage, however, she is considered pre-existing now and will not be able to get on new coverage. It's either a choice of getting on a group plan or getting on a state plan.

Since pregnancy cannot be considered a pre-existing condition (part of HIPAA law) on small groups, I suggest you either get on your employer's group policy, start a group policy if you own your own business, or find a job with medical benefits that you can sign up for. Any company you apply for individual coverage with will decline you since your wife is currently pregnant unless you are in a "guarantee issue" state. Good luck.

What you're asking for isn't achievable. would not exist interior the marketplace. With a spouse who's presently 27 weeks pregnant, you have 3 thoughts: a million) qualify for a gov't plan. 2) get a job featuring team insurance advantages (alongside with maternity). or 3) start up saving to pay for the expenses out of pocket.

if you are asking if someone will cover you now that your wife is already pregnant and you want the pregnancy covered. chances are no. you may be accepted in with a clause in regards to "pre-existing conditions" which this pregnancy is. I suggest you get a group plan with an employer - even make up your own company and give yourself a group plan and add someone else who needs it. group plans generally cannot discrimiate preexisting conditions and you can generally get one with as little as three people
