There are TONS of predators on MY Space. If you do get a My Space account you need to post your REAL age! Do not put on there that you are 24 when your really 14. Predators look at this as a call for attention. Also if you get a MY Space account, make it private so no one other than your friends will be able to see it, do not post any provacative pictures of yourself or your friends, and absolutely do not add someone to your Friends that you don't know!

Wow, if mychild is able to use a computer at 1 then I would let them do whatever they want!! But seriously if you have a private setting put on your account and your mom has acess to see what you are doing I think it is ok. I would not want my 13 year old on myspace.

I think your mother is a little right.As every chatroom,my space can be very dangerous.I also understand you because I ve felt the same.I m 15 and so I can see your point.I believe you should go and discuss it over with her.You have to see her point though and ask her to give justified reasons to the fact that you should not visit myspace.Then you should too explain your point

Before I answer this question, please try and use spell check.
MySpace in itself is not a bad site. The only real technical problem is that many people post objectionable material on it and some of it can contain spywear and viruses. On the psychological side, some people can become obsessed with the site viewing the pages.
