All that is fine and dandy, but where do you live?

What kind of tickets are you referring to? Some municipalities (like to one I work in) have it set up to check open parking and or municipal fines on-line, but not to check outstanding state fines. So if you'er checking out local municipal fine you can call the court house or go down there (they like to see people face to face to prevent fraud or giving personal info over the phone) and if it's a state fine you need to contact, more likely the DA's office (District Attorney's Office) for any of that information since they handle the states affairs. Every county has a DA's office in it so there should be no problem getting in touch with them.

Depending on the issuing authority, you should be able to check your fines online. If your tickets are issued by the state, you should be able to get help for your state's website. Many citties and counties also have databases that you can tap into. Parking tickets and some speeding tickets have a fine printed on them. In other cases, the ticket issuer will contact you if they ahven't already.
