ive been dating this woman for about a month and 1/2 however instead of the 4-5 dates that would normally be for me weve been out 8 or so times...
On our 1st date while talking she mentioned she always has guys automatically expecting "strings"
I have therefore made a special effort to give her extra space and not be thrown in with those guys
HOWEVER
2 weeks ago we went to a party where someone apparently asked her if we were bf.g/f she told them that she as my date (which was the case) but later that night she asked me how should she respond to that if it was asked again, i told her right no we were in the wierd dating stage kind of in between dating and bf/gf
we did exchange xmas pres. and have plans for fri and new years eve.
I was thinking of telling her a few min. before the ball drops id like my 1st kiss from her of the new year to NOT be from her as my date but to be from her as my girlfriend
do you think this is safe move or should i wait for her to bring it up again

Say something, you are the man here. The longer you let her wonder, the better the chances that she will think you are not serious and start looking for someone else.
don't let her get away!

Go For It! Perfect timing also. Have something "special" on hand. Like your "school ring","pin" or anything she can "keep" as a moment of the occasion. She will accept. Make it clear to her, that your not asking to "move in" or "set-up" house, only "monogamy". Good Luck, and may the first Kiss be just the beginning. Happy New Year.

No i does not be mad, fantastically if my extremely acceptable female friend had 36C's and proper hair with a interest for AC/DC music and warm cinnamon rolls. Very jealous. Now how jealous are you in that i love canines extra then you extremely? grin

Asking her to have your first kiss on new years, is kind of...um...romantic, i think so this should be a pretty safe move, and if she likes you she will want to be your girlfriend so i say, yeh, it's a good choice! go for it man, good luck, hope you do well!

I don't think you should wait til she brings that up. You have to do it as soon as possible you only live once. What's the worst thing to happen. I'm sure she is gonna say yes. So do it.

I think you should go for it and for the ball dropping thing that would be an awesome time to do it. Execellent decision if you ask me.

Good Luck!!

hmm.. what if she's too shy to ask it too..

i guess if really want it to happen, you should go ask her.. if she says no, at least you know.. if she says says, happy new year to you! =) but be ready what ever her answer would be.. dont burst out with tears when she says no, and dont faint either when she says yes.. lol

goodluck!
