For Christmas my mom got a blender and I'm looking for yummy smoothies so we can try the blender out. Or any recipies in which you use a blender. Thanks!

You can use any blend of fruit or juice you like. The juice is for the liquid you need to keep the blender running smoothly. Yogurt will give it a creamy texture. I usually use 2 cups of fruit, 1/2 cup of OJ, and 1/4 cup of yogurt.

Hawaiian Smoothies:

garnishe this frosty smoothie with orange slices. Coconut sorbet and ice cream are available at some supermarkets; you can also buy the latter by the pint at ice cream shops.

1 cup vanilla low-fat yogurt
2 cups coconut sorbet or ice cream
1/2 cup pineapple juice, chilled
2 large bananas (about 1 lb. total)
1/4 cup sweetened flaked coconut

In a blender, whirl yogurt, sorbet, pineapple juice, bananas, coconut flakes, and 1 cup crushed ice until smooth. Pour into chilled glasses and serve immediately.

Yield: Makes Four 8-ounce smoothies

My well known: 3/4 - a million c vanilla yogurt a million banana, peeled 5 medium strawberries, rinsed & hulled a million/2 c milk 6-7 ice cubes Toss each and every thing in a blender, turn it on, and viola. yet another yum-o recipe: same as above, yet instead of banana and strawberry, toss in pineapple and pink or black raspberries. And yet another: cantaloupe and blueberries. savor! Edit: I in simple terms remembered, I made one final week with Stonyfield Farms Banilla yogurt, Knudsen's Pineapple Coconut juice, and a few ice. OMG yum!

My daughter's favorite:

6-8 frozen strawberries (you can use fresh but you will need to add ice); 1 vanilla yogurt, 1 banana, and a little oj. We experiment all the time and add different fruits. Trader Joes sells frozen mixed berries which is also great.
