Well be careful he may have told the other girl how he feels and she may not have felt the same way about him and you are his rebound. But then again he may have thought about it and after 2 years or more of being friends he may of had a chance to think and is willing to give it a try.Go for it but go slowly.Good Luck

I hate to answer a question with a question but here it goes. What are you going to do when that other person he has been waiting for decides that they want him and he dumps you to be with that other person. I think you need to have a sit down with him and discuss this before you decide what your going to do. Just to save yourself from having to go through alot more hurt in the long run.

Looks like he realized what he missed by passing you up the first time, a day ago??
Give him a chance.
If he is not all that you want, tell him to hit the bricks.
Do not settle.
You are not taking him back, he was never yours.
Good luck

You should give him a chance but be careful not to hurt yourself. Unless you get to know him, you would not know for sure whether he really had feelings for someone else or he was just playing hard to get. Sometimes men do not want to get commited instantly. Whatever it is just be cautious and allow sincerity to prevail.

My "gut" tells me that the "someone else" turned him down! so now he is trying to come through the "back door". Just up and ask him, why did he change his mind? Who is the "other one"? The last thing you need is a "boyfriend", that settled for "second-best". Clear the air now, and then make up your mind. Happy New Year.

Follow your heart, but be careful that he decided to come to you for love, not just because the other one is not available or rejected him, so he came to you because he has nothing else. Love is what should join 2 people together. Now, be careful not to get confused with simple phisycal atraction.
God Bless.

Sure.
You sound young and being young can be confusing sometimes.
I like that he told you he realizes that it's useless waiting around for someone else.
Be wary though, he might go with you and still like this other person....and if or when that other person shows interest in him, he might dump you.

No. He could always change his mind again. And did you ever stop to think that the other person may have shot him down and he came running back to you knowing full well you'd take him back because he expects you to?

sure, you could take him back, but be careful! if during your relationship with him, he talks about the other girl he "liked", you need to look into it a little more just to make sure he doesnt still like her. good luck!
