To be able to remove the baby u'd have to have the right stuff like something to keep him warm and syringes to feed him you have to make sure that food is warm and not to hot or cold as the baby will either get crop burn or slow crop which in both cases result in death, (and u dont do as someone sugested and give warm water)

u'd have to feed it every two hours, I Would say unless you have done this before i'd honestly say leave it with mum or you will find yourself in a situation where you either kill it or you cant feed it and then mum wont take it back,

If u know a breeder around by u they might help out and rear the bird for you? I have personally done this before for ppl so im sure u could find someone,

Also make sure mum is somewhere quiet and not in a loud room or not getting disturbed all the time by someone knocking cage or opening the nest box as she will kill her babies in a bid to protect them, also make sure she has plenty of seed and also fruit and veg, as they can some times kill young thinking there isnt enough food too feed them both.

If you need more advice feel free to email me.

Goodluck

Take it out right away, hang your head down to show the birds you understand we all lost a baby. Then slowly walk away with the baby and go bury it or place it in a baggie and throw it away. But your birds need it out of the nest. I lost 2 of my baby cockatiels in the nest because too many hatched out and they got squashed {:O( So I know how it feels to lose a baby. GOOD LUCK!.

definatly remove it because if the parakeet had more then one baby the other babies could die as well if you don't remove the bird right away.

Definitely take the chick away! It'll take up room, start smelling, and isn't it just creepy to see a dead chick anyway?
