Why is this question asked twice on the same night?

why is the word abbreviated so long?
why do the sick and elderly have to go to the back of a drugstore to get life saving drugs but the young and healthy can get their cigarettes at the front of the store?
why, when 2 airplanes almost crash into each other do they call it a near miss? would that not be a near hit?

For the same reasons cargo goes by ship, and shipments go by trucks. For the same reason needles used in lethal injections are sterilized. For the same reason there is braille on drive through ATMs.
