Make her a video of the family or a photo album. Write her letters. Make an audio tape of the kids. Anything that makes her feel you are there and that she is loved would be great.

Spend as much time with her as possible and think about making a donation in her name to a cancer research organization or setting up an ongoing fund in her name. A donation will not be a direct gift to her but it will keep her legacy alive and assist in finding a cure for cancer.

Write a letter to her about how you feel and how special she is to you, so that when she passes away it can be placed in her casket with her. In the meantime spend as much time as you can with her talk to her, brush her hair, hold her hand, look at pictures with her, and make her comfortable buying her gifts unless she asks for them will not buy her more time in life but it will take away time that you should be spending with her, I miss my grandmother too, and believe me nothing material is that important but being there for them is the most important thing that you can give them.

My last grandparent - my grandmother - passed away last month. The only things she wanted was to spend time with us and Easy cheese and no-salt crackers. She did not want pictures taken as she didn't want to be remembered that way. Just talk about the past and the times you spent together and how much you enjoyed them.

The best gift that you can give to your grandmother right now is your time. This is a gift that will be cherished, and there's nothing more special than your time. I lost m grandmother in "2005" and I tried to spend what time I could with her before the end. Give her your time. It won't ease all the pain right now, but it will be a memory that you can always carry with you.

Time, give her your time!!
When I was young and my grandparents both passed on within weeks of each other. They both lived clear over on the east coast and I did not have the money to fly over from the west coast.
I would have loved to spend more time with the both of them!!
Your grandmother deserves to have everyone around and every wish she has, to the best of your ability, given to her.
Have you told her you love her? Tell her all the time so she knows!!
I was fortunate enough to be able to drive the drive to the state my father lived in to take care of him. I was single and quit my job and moved lock stock and barrel to my parents home to take care of my father before and while he was dying. My mother was going to put him in one of those nursing homes because know one was around to care for him, so I hit the road and was there in no time. This is something that will stay in my mind forever. I got to spend time with him while everyone was doing there own thing. He passed on in his sleep...
Time be there for her!

Writer her a letter, poem, or short story about your memeories with her. This is a gift to the both of you & your child! Read it to her, several times! She'll love it as much as she loves you, because it came from your heart!
