if you're like me, you either develop a tolerance or toxicity, my meds have to be changed every 3-4 months or I revert back to PSYCHO MOM

Maybe because they're not working... they're useless drugs. You should figure out why you're depressed and defeat it. It might be hard... actually yeah, if you're on anti-depressants, you probably don't have the patience and determination to do that anyway. Just go get some more drugs and live the rest of your life in a daze while your doctor and the drug companies stuff their wallets.

Or... you can prove that theory wrong and take control of your life. I did.

They stopped working on me as well. I went off them because they made me more depressed. Yourtimeforchange.com has a DVD for people who still have symptoms of depression. They say that 70% of people on antidepressants still experience symptoms. A drug is available to use in conjunction with the antidepressants. I think I'll just stay off them. I don't understand why they are called antidepressants when they do the opposite of what they are supposed to do.

it depends on how soon they stop. if you have a quick response and then a quick poop-out it's possible you are just having a placebo response and the meds aren't really helping in the first place.
anti-d's don't work for everyone.
also, sometimes a doc has to be creative and use two from two from two different classes. try to eat better and make sure you take some folic acid if you don't eat that well. you need folic to make serotonin.

After a while the dosage may need to be a little higher. Antidepressants, just like any other meds come in different dosages and most doctors will start you off with the lowest dose. Contact your doctor.

I have read some litterature about panic attacks. But they allways seem to have a more scientific approach and that is nothing I need in my struggle to survive those horrible panic attacks. This is a "hand on" and very practical book. I felt it was written to me. I am sure that you are going to feel the same. Joe Barry writes exactly how I think. The examples are perfectly described. And the method is genius. I recommend this book and thanks Joe Barry for writing it. It changes your life

I'm a nurse. There are so many medications on the market and you haven't discovered the one that works for you yet. I would talk with your doctor and ask for samples(they are free). Try several until you find the one that works better for you. Don't give up, there is a medication that will work for you, keep trying until you find one.

Anti depressants are not necesarily intended to be your cure. They are a means for you to cope while addressing the issues that is causing you problems.

You need to go to your doctor and discuss this. Your dosage needs to be increased or you may need to switch brands, but your doctor needs to know this. Its very important!
