Your question is confusing. It is better to believe in God than anything else. There is one God and one God alone. Deut. 6:4

What do you consider to be the wrong god?
If you are referring to money or property as a god, then yes, absolutely.
If you are referring to god as defined by another religious group, then absolutely not. In fact, I'd define that one as racism.
So, I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, simply because you don't define "the wrong god".
BTW, I personaly have no problem with someone believing or not believing in any god. What I do have a major problem with is organized religion.

Neither is better - what is best is to do what works best for you...
Naturally, beleiving in the wrong god will do no one any justice... Beleiving in no God allows one to take responsibility for their own place on earth and in life...

Listen to Scripture:
Romans 1:20
For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen,
being understood by the things that are made,
even His eternal power and Godhead;
so that they are without excuse.
God said if you don't believe in Him you are without an excuse.
The argument from cause and effect is one logical argument for the existence of God. As everything that exists must have an adequate cause, so an all-powerful and intelligent God is an adequate cause to explain the universe. The Scripture identifies that "cause" as the creative power of God.

Man created GOD. It is better to lead a clean, humanistic life and understand that we, as living beings, are all connected. So, if you hurt another or wish ill on him/her, you are committing self-slander and creating negative karma for you future. Just be a good person and you will be ok. And if it turns out that GOD does exist, you will have nothing but good deeds and a clean heart to own up to.

Thats tough!
Personally- I believe it is better not to believe in God.
I would think you would have a better chance at repentance than if you thought your "wrong" god was actually right.

i personally think its best to just believe in a higher power and respect all other religions. i dont believe there is such a thing as a "wrong" god. they're all different, and all religions have their benefits. theres no such thing as a "wrong" religion either, so this question is wrong in itself. i dont think its a good idea not to believe in god though, because there is definetely a higher power that keeps our world the way it is and that explains the events in our lives. i hope i gave you a different perspective =)

If you do not want to be with God of Abraham in eternity, then either one of those two would be fine.
It really depends on what do you want your destiny to be. I believe that the Bible is true. And it tells that there is no other gods, but He is aware of that people easily forget that and He says that do not keep other gods.

.It is better to believe the wrong God, rather than submit to our vanity and believe that we (ourselves) are God.
"Vanity oh vanity; woe is vanity. "
"Absolute power corrupts absolutely."
Those are famous quotations.
These are original spontanious ideas that I just now thought of. Which prove that I am flawed by vanity, too.
For how can we have any hope in ourselves, once we have seen ourselves starting to decay? And, if we choose not to see ourselves decay, are we not blind? And, what about death, surely we know we die, but we ignore it, and ignore it; does that not make us ignorant?
Yeah, I say to you. It is better to worship a rock, than to worship nothing at first and then ourselves before we die.
To hope, and cry, and hope again; that is how we avoid insanity and disharmony with ourselves, and others.
Well this was my answer/response to your question.
(Here in the Zoo where I live, we hope and pray that the Zoo Keeper will not be serving spinach again tonight. --Yuck! )
