Is it normal that my male eclectus parrot is horny? lol, from time to time you can catch him masturbating on his perch in his cage and if you're not careful he'll get fresh with you! It's not often but i'm assuming its normal?

Your parrot has probably just reach sexually maturity. This Is a very common thing. We use to have a female African Grey who did the same thing. Ever parrot species has a different breeding season. Check out when the breeding season if for your bird and this may bring so light to the situation.

Yup, I've seen budgies do that, cockatiels and parrots. It's normal. What's funny is when a parakeet or parrot talks to itself WHILE it's humping...my parakeet would say, "Sweeet boy he's a sweet boy sweet boy oh sweet boy" while he would hump a stuffed tiger's head.
Females take position and make squeaky noises.
One of the female cockatiels we had was in love with my husband (he hand fed her) and would 'ee ee ee e eee ee' on his chest and then in the next day or so would lay an egg and only let HIM come near the cage!
Birds get the urge too. Don't let it bug you.

Hi,
You didnt say how old your ekky was but they reach Sexual maturity at 3-4years of age!
It could well be that he has hit his peak, and as a result is starting to mate with the perch, BUT you also mention he tries to get "fresh" with you, as soon as he tried this tell him no and put him back in his cage.
Doing this will prevent him taking you on as his "mate" as he will start getting nasty otherwise and trying it even more,
My cockatoo started trying to do this to me on my arm, as soon as i told him a few times he stopped and has calmed down alot with it.
But anyway yes it is normal, and no you havent got a mad ekky on ya hands just a very excited one.

LOL Yeah, it's normal. I was actually um, lol raped by one a few weeks ago when I went to see my baby greenwing at the nursery.
It's probably just sexual revolution time. I'd get him a stuffed animal. We call the stuffed animal we gave to our bow PB for prisonbitch. LOL

this is common with all birds male and female...they just have to so to speak rub one out occasionally....Yes its completely normal!
