"Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. For this is the way the holy women of the past who put their hope in God used to make themselves beautiful. They were submissive to their own husbands, like Sarah, who obeyed Abraham and called him her master. You are her daughters if you do what is right and do not give way to fear." (I Peter 3:3-6)
More than focusing on the outward appearance, women should focus on their inward (heart) appearance and their role within the family, particularly because the Lord looks upon the heart. It's most important what He thinks, not everyone else. Wearing pants is not a sin, unless they are so tight that they are causing a temptation for men around you. That is called putting a stumbling block in front of your brother. The same applies with short skirts, and low cut necklines, and other revealing or provocative clothing. Don't dress like a hootchie. Be considerate of those around you. Glorify God in your dress. Doesn't mean that you have to wear ugly clothes, or sweaters that are too big for you. It really is a matter of the heart. As for pants, in our culture pants are traditionally the garment worn by the man. It is a recent thing for women to wear them, and really came into style with the sexual revolution and women leaving the duties of family to compete in the workplace. With that knowledge, make your own decisons before the Lord. Exercise your conscience.

In biblical times, peoples wore several different styles of dress. The most common for desert and arid areas because of how cool they actually are is basically a robe like garment. People made men's and women's versions of the to be able to differentiate between the two for obvious reasons. In answer to your question: There is no specific place in the bible stating anything about a woman NOT being able to wear pants. Though, in the bible it IS stated that(although I can't remember where) a woman should not wear a man's garment and visa versa. In all reality, pants for women are just as acceptable for women to wear as robes and kilts are for men to wear. Pants even are more practical to wear then a skirt or dress for every day wear and activities.

Did men wear pants in the Bible? It's all about historical context and the culture in which they lived. Plus, I would imagine that climate and availablity of goods was key as well.

Why not. If she is covered in a modest fashion, that is what the bible calls for. In the days when the bible was written all people including men wore robes.

Women are allowed to wear whatever they want. If they are forced to wear nothing but skirts, then it's a bad idea to follow.
