How do I change the program I use to open an e-mail attachment? I keep getting a word document - not good.?

At one point, it let me choose, I tried Word, now it will only open with Word, it will not give me a choice anymore.

save the document to your desktop, then from your desktop, right-click on it and select "Open WIth" You can choose what program you want the attachment to be opened with

In Windows XP:
Double click My Computer. Go to Tools menu, Click Folder Options..
In the Folder Options window, click File Types tab.
Find the type of file you want to change - easiest way is to use the left column with the three letter extension of the file. (For instance, Internet Email Message extention is EML).
Click the item in the list, then click the Change... button.
From here you can select a different application to use, or you can uncheck the "Always Use the Selected program..." box so that the system will prompt you to select the program each time you open the file. OK out of both windows to save the changes.

The procedure varies between different versions of Windows, but the concept is the same.
