I sometimes have a gurgling stomach after I eat dinner, and flagalence is at the surface oftentimes as well. This is a problem because I'm dating someone pretty seriously and I hate always hearing my stomach gurgle and having to hold in gas. She just laughs and asks if I'm still hungry (which I'm not...it's my stomach dealing with the food I've already eaten). Is there any basic meds out there that would help w/ this problem? Doesn't pretty much every guy have this problem to some extent or another? It's not like I have serious intestinal issues or anything, but it just seems to be a problem more often than not.

Beano or Gas-X are good. Best thing to do would be to avoid the foods that give you gas, such as broccoli. Plus, if you're dating this person on a serious level, you should jsut tell her what's going on instead of trying to avoid the embarassment when it happens.

You may have an intolerance to some foods. Gas is not uncommon, but they do make an over the counter remedy called BEAN-O. You may want to try this. As for the flatulence, this could also be a by product of the intolerance. Give the BEAN-O a try. If this continues, you may want to see a Gastroenterologist. You may also be suffering from colitis.

Have you tried rolaids or tums. It might be the acids of the food and your stomach mixing together.
