Definitely. Most happy marriages I know are people who were best friends first.

I think if the chemistry is right, to go for it. If you are in a relationship w/ someone they should become your best friend anyways. If you are already best friends than you already have a jump at it. The only bad thing is, depending on how long you have been best friends w/ this person, you may know too much about their past relationships and may go into the relationship being judgemental towards certain things

Yes....Is there someone you can trust more? Is there someone you are more attracted to? Anyone have more things in common?
If you do and things don't work out....Then , you will find out if they are truely your best friend, if you each can move on and still remain friends.

My Wife is my BEST Friend. Friends first, then relationship. How would you feel if they chose someone they didn't really know to date, leaving you on the sidelines? At least talk it over.

Manlaw states that you should NOT date your bestfriend unless you are confortable ending the FRIENDSHIP when the dating relationship falls apart.

Manlaw states that you are to "cease and desist" all communication with your "ex" and find a suitable replacement upon termination of the relationship.

In order to obey the 2nd edict of manlaw, you must be willing to end the friendship in case it doesn't work out.

No exceptions unless you enjoy DRAMA in your life. This would be tantamount to a SURGEON GENERAL WARNING.

i think that the best relationships happen when u know the person ur dating before u date em' because u know how the realllly are cuz ppl tend to change when they are on a date with someone so they dont show their true self....so if u know the person before dating them u know their true personality....so how would it be if they were ur best friend...probably very great....so i think u should....

I say go for it. If you're not willing to give it a try you could be passing up on the best relationship of your life. After all you're already friends. In my opinion, being friends is the heart and soul of any romantic relationship.

First, if she's hot yes and probably u already have a feeling about her so why not just ask her "if i wasn't ur friend would you like me as going out", then u would find out if she likes u or not.

Definently. That means you've gotten really close to someone and probably know a lot about eachother.

Well the feelings may not be there on their part, but if they are and you're willing to ruin a really good relationship, then go for it.
