If you're not into the technical aspect of computing, you probably shouldn't be on limewire, many of the files downloaded from there are infected with virii and trojan remote access clients. if you must use it, at least get an anti-virus application that performs real time scans of downloads from peer to peer networks. As for "fixing" it, I wouldn't bother, too big a risk if you ask me. Just a little advice. peace

No. If you switch your computer off your limewire program will become "disconnected". You need to connect again enable to continue to download your music or files.

No, when you turn off your computer, EVERYTHING shuts down, including internet and programs (like LimeWire), so there isn't anyway that it can still download. Being logged off will still download, though.

No.
Your computer needs to be up and running, off means off - no connections, everything powered down.
You can shut down your screen or monitor - in which case the system will continue to download and upload.
If there are no uploads or downloads running, and the system hits one of the time limits for standby, hibernation - the system will enter the selected state.

No, turning your computer off terminates ALL programs (including limewire, obviously). Nothing is left running.

Nothing works when you turn off the computer, silly.
Logging off should kill the process because all non service software is unloaded when you log off.
In either case the process will startup again when you log back in.

If you turn off the computer it will not do anything.
If it is just showing the screen saver or you just turn off the monitor, it will continue to download.
I'm not sure if your computer goes into "standby", "hibernation", or "powersaver" mode if it will continue to do anything. I suspect it will not, especially if the powersaver mode tells the system to power down the hard disks.
