thats christian logic for you.
they also say god is 100% pure and holy, yet the bible even says god is murderous, jealous, angry and that he created evil. and it calls those evil.

God does not put any "conditions" on His love neither is this an example of a conundrum. God loves all people equally. He does not love the wicked things people do. It is like the love a father has for his child. A father will love his son no matter what he does. He wants his children to do as they have been taught and bring honor to the family name. But if the child acts in a way that dishonors him, he will still love his child just not the way his child is acting. 1John 4:8 tells us that God is love. He is the personification of love. And while true love has no bounds, God will not accept those who go against His will.

C4ndygirl said it all.
The example she gave is a perfect example. Parents love their kids but can't tolerate their behavior and kicks them out of house, then tell them if you want to come back into my house then I have certain conditions for you to return. If you stay away then that is your choice because I would rather you come home.
God loves us no matter what we do but his conditions are for us to return to him. There are only 2 things that God gives us unconditionally and those are 1. HIS LOVE and 2. THE GIFT OF EVERLASTING LIFE. WHERE WE SPEND THAT EVERLASTING LIFE IS UP TO US. We can follow his teaching and be more like him and return to his mansion or rebel against him and spend it someplace else WITHOUT HIM.
God states that his house is a house of ORDER and confusion and rebellion are not allowed.

He doesn't put his conditions on love, he DOES love EVERYONE unconditionally, but if you choose not to love Him back, and honor Him, you will not be with Him in the end.
Same thing as a parent loving their son or daughter, they love them unconditionally, but if they disobey, and are destructive, they will kick them out of the house. Doesn't mean that they don;t love their child, just that they can't have that type of behavior in their house.

It is a paradox, and it is often overlooked. It's like when some Christian say, "You're going to Hell" and "Jesus loves you" in the same breath. You have to keep in mind that Christianity has changed greatly over the last 2000 years, and it stems from an older tradition as well, and not all of the texts, dogma, and beliefs match up all of th time.
They base the un-conditionality on some of the chapters out of the OT/HB, but they base the Christian doctrine on other texts and the conclusions from councils.

Is there anyone left in this world that doesn't understand that Christianity, along with all organized religion, has flaws? The Bible wasn't written by God, organized religion was created and is run by men, but keep asking Christians if they are smart enough see the inconsistencies that has been pointed out to them 100 times.
It's interesting to see how Atheism is transforming into a rejection and disbelief in Christianity...other religions believe in God too.

Supposedly, one can love and torture at once.
It is one of the great paradoxes which pretty much disproves the standard Christian belief. I say "standard" because there are many flavors of Christianity.
But, a standard flavor is one that supposes that God loves unconditionally, has the power to stop people from going to Hell, and allows people who don't believe in him to go to Hell. And that is a huge contradiction.
I think that people try to make God into something they want while trying to reconcile it with previous traditions. And it's a good feeling to have a god that loves unconditionally. But this is at odds with an oppressive church which insists that God's love is conditional and only depends on you supporting that church. It's hard for Christians to reconcile that, so they must think outside the box.
And those who think outside the box realize that an unconditionally loving God does not send people to Hell.

You are absolutely correct. But understand this we have the responsibility to live a life that's pleasing to Him to experience that love. To reject Him and His word is to reject His love
Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
John 3:15-17 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
John 15:9-11 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. 10If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Fools! God loves, God is love. One does not have to be Christian for God to love you. BUT...to be welcomed in God's home you must love God, to not love God means condemning YOURSELF to be outside of God's kingdom. God does not torture anyone, they torture themselves; much like a child who lives on the streets because they just don't like their parents' rules.

This is one of those lovely religious "conondrums", of which there are many. I don't think god loves unconditionally, but that's because i don't believe in god. Nothing religion, of any kind I've ever studied, makes any sense. If you're going to preach to millions of people to worship an entity in the sky (who presumably loves unconditionally yet allows torture and killing to take place every day, because it is not "his or her" place to intervene) then you should have some FACTS to back it up.
Too many inconsistencies in the bible, and other religious scripts for that matter.

He does love unconditional, that is why he punishes. A corrupt God would let rapist, murders go without any consequences. Unfortunatley sin, is worthy of eternal punishment.
