My parents got me an Adobe Photoshop 5.0 program for a Christmas present, unaware that I already have a photoshop program on my computer. Photoshop CS. Anyways, I'm pretty decent with using photoshop and Photoshop Elements 5.0 have some pretty good features so I'm debating whether or not to keep Elements 5.0 or keep my CS program? Thanks in adavnce!

Unless you are working for a major print company (magazine), you probably won't need all of the advanced features found in Adobe Photoshop CS.

Adobe PhotoShop Elements is perfect for a home user and has more than enough features to please the average or even above average user. Plus, in my own personal experience, PS Elements tends to start up/load faster than CS.

You can return software? @_@

Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 5.0 software combines power and simplicity so you can do more with your photos. Instantly fix flaws or adjust color and lighting with new advanced controls. Quickly drop your photos into customizable layouts and show off your creativity with dynamic web photo galleries created using Flash® technology. And view all your photos and video clips in one convenient place.

Adobe® Creative Suite® 2.3 Premium software is a highly efficient, unified design environment that combines the latest versions of Adobe's professional design software with Version Cue® CS2, Adobe Bridge, and Adobe Stock Photos. It includes all-new Adobe Acrobat® 8 Professional software for the most up-to-date Adobe PDF file creation, collaboration, and automation tools. Creative Suite 2.3 Premium also comes with Dreamweaver® 8, the industry-leading web development tool. Now you have even more power to realize your ideas in print, on the web, or on mobile devices.

Sounds like Elements is for the simple stuff, while CS is to create!

Sounds like you already have it!
And Elements does different things than CS (Photoshop 8.0)

Elements is basically a dumbed down version of CS. Stick with CS, it is much much much much more powerful.
