There are. I know a man that was diagnosed with lukemia and was going in for one last test before treatment and it was gone. Whether it was a scientific mistake or what, it was still a miracle to him.

There are still miracles happening. Not all make the news or are recorded for history.
A young boy in Philadelphia was cured through the intercession of Bishop Newman about 20 years ago.
Mother Mariann Koop from the Sisters of St. Francis in Syracuse NY was just declared blessed. She is one miracle away for officially being declared a Saint.
Father Baker from Buffalo, NY, is also waiting for the miracle to happen which would declare him a canonized saint.
These are all "Official Church Miracles." There are everyday miracles which happen. When people forgive and are reconciled with each other. When people recover from serious loss or illness. Most miracles do not make the news but they still happen.

Have you ever seen a rainbow? A puppy? Lovers holding hands?
The clouds floating by? The budding of leaves in the Spring? The colors of fall? A baby in it's father's arms? The Sun in the morning and the Moon in the evening? The crisp whiteness of new fallen snow?....Miracles are happening every day.

I believe there are still miracles, not necessarily the "parting of the sea" type miracles, but healing miracles do still happen. I'm a nurse, and I have seen some amazing things that can't really be explained except by a miracle. I believe there are a couple factors here, number one, today we are so busy in our material lives that we tend to ignore, or explain off the miracles. We are just blind to them. Number two, the world really has gotten further away from God. It's sad, but true. He can only perform so many miracles, that man claims can be explained by science, before he just gives up. Man has given up on him, bashes him, calls him unspeakable names. Even the strongest of Christians are being bombarded with temptations that they can't fight against. It may not be the end times in our lifetime or even in our children's lifetime, but God said it would be like this. Man is getting further and further away. God said, "Narrow is the path that leads to Heaven." Paraphrased, but true.

There are miracles every day. I witness them.
If you mean on a grand scale like, for example, the parting of the red sea, they will come when it is warrented by God.
An example of a miracle that we witnessed just last week - our not for profit school needed to meet our monthly buget and we didn't have the money. Several of us prayed that the money would somehow come in to meet the bills.... On the last week of school before the Christmas break, our school's Christmas presentation brought in $1000.00 (it typically brings in 2 - 300), a gentleman called whom we didn't know and brought in a check for 3000.00, a volunteer at our school and her husband (who know nothing of our finances) brought in a check for 5000.00 and one of our families brought in a check for 5000.00.
A few weeks ago - a member of our staff was trying to fax something. All of our machinery and equipment has been donated, and of course, several glitches have occurred since most are second hand and need servicing. We were chatting while she was trying to fax - about how the Lord always provides - when the fax machine refused to work. She tried several times with no success, and so I prayed aloud on the spot for the machine to run - viola and INSTANTLY the machine hummed to life.
There are all kinds of stories like these flying around every day. People experience them - live them. Often times they are kept private, or when they are shared, they are shluffed off as just so much imagination or coincidence. I don't believe the majority are. I believe God is a very personal God with our personal intrests in mind and at heart. I've developed a close personal relationship with Him which I don't take for granted. He answers my prayers and provides for me and my family. Never so much materially, but in love, health, character, fortitude, faith, hope and percerverance. Everyone is going through trials of some sort, and that seems to be the time we turn to God.
The reality is - He wants to share with us in everything. So take some time to be with Him daily and even by the minute. Laugh, joke, love, talk. He is longing for you and He loves you very much.
God bless you and Happy New Year.

You don't think its a miracle that we haven't blown the human race off the face of the planet? There are many miracles in the universe, great and small.

The question assumes that there were 'miracles' in the first place.
Most of the so called miracles attributed to the person of Jesus (whether he be a real person, or a fictional character) were pretty garden variety things that magicians/conjurors could easily do then. Turning water into wine, the never ending loaves and fishes....that sounds like something David Copperfield would do.
There's a long history of "faith type healers"....even today people make claims of miraculous healings....credible evidence however is lacking. Many diseases are self-limited ( the Alt Medicine crowd depends on that !!), even some cancers go into spontaneous remission for reasons we don't fully understand, but no, it isn' god. The placebo effect is very helpful for illnesses of a psychosomatic nature (again, the alt-med crowd needs that !!)
In spite of his quote about "faith moving mountains"....he never actually did that one himself, did he? In fact, when you look at most of Jesus supposed miracles...they were really pretty lame, pedestrian things for the son of the creator of the universe.

There are, but we (humans) are too picky these days. We want the whole walking on water, water into wine, flashy miricals. We don't like the smaller, less flashy ones of a loved one, given up for dead, coming out of coma on his own or the fact that a crash could have been worse if the car hadn't swerved or if those trees hadn't been cut down. We are the ones not looking, it's not God isn't providing. When we reliaze what a mirical really is, and stop looking for something that is far more grand then what we get, then we'll see the true miricals all around us.

A work with a lady whose daughter was just in a terrible car wreck. The car rolled three times, the drivers side was smashed to bits. The driver was thrown from the car(she was not wearing her seat belt if she had been she would be dead.) The car landed on TOP of her. She walked out of the hospital a few days later with no broken bones and only a few miner issues. The passenger also remained unharmed. The daughter was to watch my children christmas day since her mom and I both had to work. Last minute a grandfatherly neighbor pitched in to help me with the children on christmas day!

There are miracles everyday. Babies are born and life continues. Leaves turn to green from nothing and trees come to life after being asleep all winter. The sun comes out each morning and you are blessed with another day to witness it.

If you aren't seeing miracles, your perception needs adjusting. Or maybe you're looking in the wrong direction. Look up -- let God show you His miracles in creation -- the sunrise, the snow, the newborn baby. The salvation of the hardest non-believer! These are all miracles.
I pray God shows you one today!
