My boyfriend drove to my old city to buy my Christmas gift this year... He said he wanted to go for a drive.... Am I reading more into it then what it was.... bear in mind this is the jewerly store where he has bought me gifts from before..... Please go easy on me !

I would not think he was cheating. It is hard enough to keep a secret from someone you love, let alone get away from them a few in order to get them something and possibly surprise them.
If he were cheating he would be more arguementative and not so willing to tell you where he was going. He would be more defensive. Sounds to me like you also answered your question when you said "Bear in mind" that he has shopped there before for you.
I hope your enjoyed what he got you for a gift. And most of all enjoy him for driving where-ever it takes to get you what he feels would be a special gift for you

OMG....he went to your old city??? To buy you a gift???? Then yes, he must be cheating if he went ot your old city to buy you a gift. It's probably the sales clerk at the jewelry store. He's just buys things for you to keep in her good graces.

if he has bought stuff there b4 and went there to buy your present chances are he likes the service there and maybe feels they have the best prices thats all, i dont think he is cheating but you didnt give very much info about the question to give a very good answer...lol

You get to choose your reality here. If this is a one time thing then why not choose to believe that your guy just wanted to go for a drive and buy you something in another town. If he keeps wanting to go for drives then it might be worth looking into.
