If you have windows XP, you should just uninstall it completely.
XP will detect your camera and it has its own download wizard you can use. The Kodak crap is there just to remind you of what their logo looks like 24/7. Do you need a program running in memory that does what XP already does natively?

Right click on the icon in the task bar. Click "close" and follow the directions that pop up. Don't delete the Kodak Easy Share program unless you have another photo program to use. It is an easy program that does the basics. For a more advanced (but still easy to use) program, I'd suggest Photo Explosion. It does a lot but is still point-and-click. Good luck!
